In Writing we are writing Mysteries. We are learning about how to add suspense and how suspense makes our writing more exciting. This is what we are learning in 5th Grade.
Reading (Is even Awesomer): I'm reading Underdogs by Mike Lupica right now. My new favorite authors is Tim Green and Tom Angleburger and Mike Lupica. I have read around 30 books this school year. By this school year I mean 5th Grade. Reading rocks!
In Reading in 5th Grade we are reading Mysteries and doing Mystery packets. I did mine already so that's why I'm not reading a mystery right now. We are learning how to find suspense and what the suspense and mystery techniques are.
We are working on fractions, decimals, and percents now in 5th Grade. They are pretty easy, but some things about them are pretty hard, like figuring out how to add 5/8 and 1/3 and numbers like that. I know how to do it, and it's easy for me, but some people don't think it's that easy. This is what we are learning in Math in 5th Grade.
Science/Social Studies (Is SWEET!): In Science we are talking about flight and how it is even possible for things to fly. In Social Studies we just finished a unit about explorers and things that the explores found and explored and why they explored and what the impacts were afterwords. This is what we are learning in Science and Social Studies in 5th Grade.
